Reference Electrodes ESN-МS2

Reference Electrode ESN-МS2 is used to measure the potential of a part in electrolytic cathodic corrosion protection. The electrode provides stable electrolytic contact enable one to measure the difference between a stable potential of the electrode and protection structures. Cathodic protection eliminates the possibility of oils corrosion for the underground metallic elements and building parts: fittings, oil and gas buried reservoirs, pipelines.

Design Features

• With two ion-exchanging membranes the service life of the device is more than 10 years.
• Outer shield protects the membranes from impacts.
• A connecting cable has solid sheath protecting it from mechanic impacts, as well as decreasing the power of stray current and electromagnetic noises in the soils.
• The length of the connecting cable is custom designed.
• ESN-МS2 is completely independent, there is no need to add electrolyte. Long service life can be explained by the right ratio between the device size and electrolyte amount.

Maintenance Recommendations

• Prior reference electrode start-up please read a datasheet and follow the safety rules.
• Reference electrode ESN-МS2 is buried in soil, but the device datasheet states that it can be portable for intensive measurements at different sites.
• Prior electrode usage please keep the electrodes in a distilled water for about 2 hours./li>
